If you asked me before I made this drink, I’d have said that moscow mules make no sense right now. It’s pretty much below freezing in NYC and the thought of drinking an ice cold beverage literally sent chills down my spine. Brr. But hear me out – this one here is WORTH IT. The wintry flavor of the pomegranate against the spicy kick of the ginger will have you feeling warm inside in no time. It’s delicious!
What you need:
- 3 oz pomegranate juice
- 3 oz vodka ( I used ginger infused vodka that I’d previously made)
- 1 tsp muddled chopped ginger
- Juice of half a lime
- 1 can ginger beer
Fill 2 moscow mule mugs with ice then add in pomegranate juice, vodka, ginger, lime juice and stir vigorously to mix. Top each mug off with ginger beer.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds, candied ginger and a lemon wheel. Bottoms up!
