A delicate Asian Pear cocktail

It’s been quiet around here but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been poppin’ bottles behind the scenes. I know how much you guys love these cocktail recipes so I’ve been tinkering with new ones that are outside of my comfort zone. I’m not crazy about pears, but this drink just may cause a change of heart. If you’re a pear lover, even better for you. Read on for the decadent, delicious recipe.


what you need:

  • 1 asian pear, chopped
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1.5 oz gin
  • 1 egg white
  • optional:edible gold leaf for garnish

the how-to:

-step one: In a blender combine about 1/2 a cup of chopped asian pear, water, the juice of half a lemon and honey and puree.

-step two: strain the blended pear mixture into a cocktail shaker, then add gin and egg white

-step three: shake with ice for a few seconds, then remove ice and continue to vigorously shake for 30 seconds

-step four: pour into a coupe glass and enjoy!
